![]() There are a few leads that are tricky to manage. If you have any tips on moves/spreads, or even 'mons, I'm all ears! Thanks for reading! Like I said, not the best team in the world, but I'm proud of the way it's performing. It's a thick fish, and 1v2'd an Yveltal/Solgaleo combo from here the other day (not getting an accuracy drop until Turn 13):Īnyway, just wanted to share. There've been games where it starts on the field, and doesn't leave for the whole battle. Haze is clutch if you can wait out a Dynamax and eliminate their boosts (or eliminate Intrepid Sword boosts). Muddy Water is unreliable, but when it works, it works. It was brought on to be an Incin/Lando counter, and has done its job well. If Rillaboom and Eleki are eliminated, and this fish gets a defensive boost or two, it is really hard to get off the field. Swords Dance is great to catch opponents off guard when they suspect a Protect.Īnd finally, Milotic is the unsung hero of this team. It does have its flaws, like Ho-Oh matchups and getting burned, and I could probably make life easier by running Tapu Fini, but what the heck. Again, it's a great Zacian counter, and I've seen a few of those running around. It comes in under Trick Room, gets its Weakness Policy activated, and then starts to build bulk with Steelspikes and Quakes. Most importantly, it's not phased by Zacian (until Blue Flare misses). I'd have to run some calcs to see if the lower powered moves are worth it. I've thought about putting some higher accuracy moves on it, since when it's not maxed, it can come up with some clutch misses. Safety Goggles are a great way to make your opponent waste a turn. I was also having a hard time with Zekrom, since it can OHKO Mimikyu through Disguise and Wyrmwinds are a big threat to my team.Įvery good TR team needs an Amoongus and Ferrothorn killer, and Reshiram fits the bill. It's fast enough to be useful outside of TR, but not in the bonky speed tier, so under TR it still smacks Zacian, Eleki, Zard, Zapdos and Caly-S. It intimidates Groudon, OHKOs Charizard, Lum ruins Venusaur's day, and it's a great check for Ho-Oh. Landorus was the last addition to the team, and was just slapped on there because I was having a hard time with sun teams. I only max it when things have gone wrong. It also takes care of Gastro, who otherwise can be a pain. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just Gliding into Kyogres, resetting terrain, Knocking Off the occasional item and Caly-S, and Faking things Out to help get TR up. Mimikyu is often led with Rillaboom, who does Rillaboom things. I've toyed with the idea of replacing it with Will-O-Wisp, though I think this team is bulky enough as it is. Taunt is great to prevent TR reversal and neutralize Amoongus and Gastrodon. It's surprisingly bulky, proc's Necrozma's WP and does decent damage into dragons and Yveltal, while OHKOing Urshifu-S (who Necrozma hates). It's a very TR-dependent team, and Mental Herb Mimikyu has to be one of the most reliable setters out there. Wanted to share so people could poke some holes in it/see if there's any advice. Obviously not a contender for all-time great status, but it works enough for me. I made the trek up from Pokeball to Masterball yesterday, and the team's sitting around 1540 on Showdown. I wanted to do something a little non-Zacian/Kyogre-ish, and Dusk Mane and Reshiram are my two favourite restricted 'mons, so this is what I came up with. Hello everybody! After not playing for a few months, I wanted to get back into VGC for Series 12 (yes, mostly to get the shiny Galarian birds). ![]() All RMT posts should go in /r/VGCRateMyTeam.
